I love free diving. When I was 8 years old, I dived in Sanya, China. I was obsessed by the beautiful coral reef, they were so bright, delicate and sparking in the sunshine. There are even some fishes around it, they were not afraid of me because I did not bring oxygen bottle. The colorful coral reefs were like a little forest under the sea. However, I continue diving in 15 years old and found the recession of the coral reefs. Each year I came to Sanya and start free diving, I find that the coral reef’s recession. Also, the pollution of the sea become more and more serious.

Last year, I went to Sanya to start my last diving before I went to America. Actually, we were prohibit to use sunscreen cream because the chemical compound could destroy the reef. But the reef still in an unhealthy color, they are not as bright as before. The local people told me that coral reefs are becoming more and more fragile because of the sea pollution.

I get inspired from that, and decided to create a biomimicry design based on the coral reef ecosystem and let people realize the serious problem of sea pollution.
